What's the deal with these? I'm a teaching assistant this semester for a clinical professor at a LRM. As far as I can tell, we pay him 115k a year in a low cost of living city to teach 3 classes a year. He comes into the office 60 days a year and doesn't grade his own tests or do any research. Is this job as awesome as it sounds to a lazy LRM such as me? What's the catch here? Is it that it's really that rare of a skill to be able to teach well? How can I prepare for this kind of a job?
