Regarding the 2017 AFA annual meeting at Chicago, it seems like AFA sessions will take place in the Sheraton. But, we will pick-up our registration package at the Hyatt. Is this correct?
Then, I cannot find any information about the AFA events, such as, the AFA presidential address, etc. I am not particularly interested in the AFA presidential address. But there might be some other interesting general talks, and I am not sure if I am missing them. Can anyone point us to the right website?
Also, is it worth signing-up (paying $75) for the AEA-AFA joint lunch? How is this organized in the past? Is it a formal event with specific seating arrangement, or pick-your-own table, or a random buffet and mingle?
Same question regarding the free reception on 5th.
Lastly, we can just walk-in to any seminar we like to listen, right?
I am going to the AFA for the first time this year, and a bit confused about the inner workings of the events. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
