They have been in berkeley for several years, but the average placement of berkeley accounting still sucks, although Sloan pushes very hard every year, several potential explanations:
1. most stars who graduated from umich are not their students, so it is not surprising that they do not produce stars at berkeley
2. their topics are old, although still publishable, but not too much value in rookie market
3. they are not top journal editors any more, so top schools are not on the knees for their students..
